So I’m having a needle biopsy of a lump on Wednesday, and was feeling confident that it will be benign. (It looks like an injury, they said.) Then I talked to my mom who destroyed every bit of calmness and confidence I had. 😭

The most frightening part of today’s brouhaha was when my throat closed up due to an asthma attack and/or a panic attack. I couldn’t inhale enough to get the albuterol in. Legit thought I might die. We were headed to the ER when my airway opened, whew.

Finally got hot cross buns from Dan the Baker! I ended up with 2 boxes of baked goods, and didn’t trust my fucked-up hands to hold them plus my coffee. They put the boxes in a bag and even offered to carry them out for me! They’re a real class act.

Two nights ago we had two loose dogs get into the backyard and fatally attack one of our feral cats. We have not seen the other ferals since then. Extreme cold weather is imminent and I am so, so worried.

Worried about the neighborhood feral cats in the upcoming polar vortex. They do not use any of the fancy shelters we buy. We’ve got heated pads and a light in a lean-to & a little shelter. I wish we could do more.
