Heathcliff, wearing a Greek military helmet and holding a spear, rolls up to the Elite Fish Market in a huge model of a fish on wheels, popping out from a small door on its back. Two employees watch him approach, and one says "The Trojan Tuna is back."

the dukes of stratosphear is one of the funniest things in the world to me. what if garth brooks used chris gaines to do music that was the exact same as his normal music

oh man, RIP Gerrit Graham. obviously you’ve gotta start with phantom of the paradise, which has been a longtime favorite of mine. finally got the chance to see it in theaters a couple weeks ago, and the reaction the packed crowd had to Beef was completely unrestrained. legendary, legendary stuff.

criterion english patient not having the seinfeld episode as a special feature is a failure. maybe that movie’s good i can believe it but sorry, that’s an inescapable part of the conversation surrounding it now. they put a documentary now episode on the salesman disc!

i voted for wilco but i strongly believe that no matter who you vote for, if you have opinions about both of these albums, you should vote in this matchup, which deserves an outright result

yeah look. the torey lovullo era has been really fun. a lot of my favorite memories as a sports fan. will treasure the 23 world series run as long as i live. one of the better periods in the team’s history. this has gotta be the last year. he has to go

pretty disappointing result there for the bees. leeds are real and they’re tough to beat but they were better there for the majority. got sloppy and fell apart on defense and ran out of ideas on offense. more like dominic calvert-ruin (my morning)

compelled to post my last four because they all earned the same rating while exemplifying, i think, four very different types of film

four recent letterboxd logs, all rated 4.5 stars; in order from most to least recent: le gai savoir, raiders of the lost ark, walk hard: the dewey cox story, and table (ernie gehr)

“remember, we’re in the *itchy* lot” one with a bullet. impossible to be scientific about the rest but i’ll go: - “i was saying boo-urns” - “money can be exchanged for goods and services” - “remember alf? he’s back. in pog form” - “is it about my cube?”

you really have to feel for star players like khvicha kvaratskhelia and gianluigi donnarumma who missed out on the world cup experience so many of their teammates enjoyed simply because they don’t come from traditionally strong soccer countries

my initial lean is sideshow bob’s last gleaming off of its forgettability despite being a bob episode. this question gets a lot harder if you limit to seasons 4-6, which are simply dudless (not to say that the other seasons don’t also have all-time episodes). my answer there is lady bouvier’s lover

important to be aware of what we’re all seeing. thirty rich assholes have devised a plan to collude against their workforce in the name of squeezing out mathematically maximal profit margins and as a result, you, yes, you, are going to have major league baseball taken away from you
