I think one of the longest processes in crafting a Ttrpg project is the art and layout work. Yes the rules are important, and play testing, but crafting or sourcing congruent art for a project has always been the most time consuming part of any project I've done or I search for in other projects

That's exactly what I did. I'm working on a dbz themed ttrpg and people really wanted to play cell-like and Frieza-like characters. So I set them aside for a villains bundle.

Scope creep If you're a TTRPG designer you've probably encountered scope creep as the project grows. However after getting some Kickstarter after waiting a long time I wonder... How do other people decide what is and is not in scope for their projects?

Yeah looking over the rules for weapons I already have, this could definitely be implied from how weapons work since it's more about the user than the weapon itself. A low level fighter grabbing a mystic blade would most likely end up with them breaking it, or not knowing how to use it's features

Those are good points. I do have armor and weapon durability, so if a player wants to target a weapon to break it they can.

Playing around today with Combat mechanics for my #ttrpg and how skills, and specialties work in combat. Having weapons in a mainly melee, and ki attack combat is interesting. I think people will disagree with how little damage some weapons do. #anime #dbz
