I hate how people on the low needs end of the spectrum treat people on the high needs end. If an autistic person is disruptive or "rude," I find a common response to be "I'm autistic, but I would NEVER do that, autism isn't an excuse!" When its like, idk, sure seems like a fair reason to me!

Not to mention, a lot of my earlier characters started as creepy pasta OCs and morphed into their own grander narrative (not what Im working on currently) so its hard to say where that line is too. When does an OC no longer count as on OC?

I too have characters who exist in a larger narrative of my creation, I feel you. But OC culture (i.e. art fight, roleplay) is just so fun lol. I feel like I can have my characters as both an oc and just a c if that makes sense. Not in the fandom sense, but in the practice sense?

Makes sense, I think what your og post made me realize is just how I've never had a balance where the interests line up enough to make something meaningful of it. I think theres a sweet spot where you and a partner are different but similar enough that it is new but comfy, but I haven't found it.

I think the hard thing about having poor mental health as an artist is consistency. I see videos for how to draw more and they tend to skim over or ignore the eb and flow of mental health. I was good for MONTHS, almost a year even, til my mental health dipped. It can be so demotivating.
