This is about half of my monthly La Crosse County Board pay, turned into food. The other half? Already donated in the form of food for some of the little free pantries around La Crosse. As food insecurity grows, even small efforts matter.

Proud to support the Hillview Health Care Center transformation on the county board—new housing, senior care, crisis stabilization, and intergenerational care. While we invest locally, it’s a shame to see federal cuts stripping support from so many. Higher levels of government MUST do better.

Nearly 20,000 La Crosse County residents rely on Medicaid—plus many more around the state and country. Cuts would devastate care for kids, seniors, and people with disabilities. Contact your representatives here: www.house.gov/representati... and www.senate.gov/senators/sen....

Local government is making positive change, even when the state and federal government aren’t. On the county board, I voted to allocate $2 million towards building a “Life and Workforce Readiness Center,” a project led by an area nonprofit to help youth find their passions and develop life skills!

Public service is under attack right now. That’s why I funded a scholarship at our local tech college to support and recognize future public servants. One young, working elected official can’t fix everything—but I’ll always stand up for the folks who serve our communities.

It was an eight hour wait, but I was glad to speak to Wisconsin’s Joint Finance Committee in Wausau about my constituents’ priorities for the state budget: 🏘️ Housing and resources to support unsheltered folks, 💧Funds for PFAS testing and remediation, and 📚An education system that works for EVERYONE

I’m proud to stand with my colleagues—and millions of Americans—calling out attempts to cut Medicaid funding. One county can’t require the federal government to keep Medicaid funding stable, but we need to raise our voices and ensure Congress knows where our community stands on this.
