Just a reminder of who will feel the most pain soon.

A chart showing the huge numbers of people in red states who signed up under the ACA in 2025. Florida and Texas top the list.

I give you my Grandpup, Meatball who is the sweetest snuggler and who thinks she is a lapdog at 60 lbs. The two mini dogs are Skippy (white) and Cocoa, (brown). They each passed over the rainbow bridge after reaching 17 years of age. I can’t complain when they blessed me for so many years. Love them

I lost my great-niece, Carmen Schentrup, at Parkland. It may seem insignificant right now, but we still need to get these weapons off the streets.

My last two pups, who each crossed the rainbow bridge after their 17th birthday (in different years). I miss those sweet babies. Skippy is on the left and Cocoa is on the right.

You might also find the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA) website and see if there are in-person classes in your area. I learned from a CGOA teacher over 20 years ago. But, YouTube is free… I also recommend a reference book like this one:

Book: The Crocheter’s Companion by Nancy Brown. The book is spiral bound so it will lie flat.

A hedgehog! My sweet Cocoa loved those. I miss that gentle pup. 🥰

See for yourself. Google the annual snowfall for Misawa shi in Aomori prefecture. The weather systems form in Siberia. When they cross the Sea of Japan, they soak up water. When that air is forced up and over the central mountain chain, it snows. And snows.

I received this when my registered nurse friend went back to her first shift after the New Year’s holiday today.

Text remarking about how the hospital is full to the gills with people testing positive for Flu-A. It includes an admonition to stay home or use a mask when in public.

A hedgehog was my sweet Cocoa’s favorite toy. I still have the hedgehog 🦔 to remember him by. Cocoa was a brown mini-poodle.
