New Babylon 5 "they didn't have to bother but they did" post, shuttle dove into planet's atmosphere to dive into a giant 5 mile deep fissure and when they're in complete darkness the front and bottom of the shuttle was super red hot from re-entry. No one would have noticed if they didn't do that.

I love that the appliances they gave along with the house I bought newly built are all JUST a bit garbage so they will fail after a few years. The dishwasher rusted out cleanly, the fridge has had all of its parts replaced but each plastic shelf breaks in half, and we already upgraded to induction..

the best thing about watching Babylon 5 from the start one episode at a time is seeing all the care they put into it, like the low gravity part in s1e11 when traveling closer to the center of the spinning space station. they could have ignored it there. but no.
