Also great to know, and something I'd probably never have figured out on my own. Very interesting quirk, though...

Mark @grainfall.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Nice! That's so awesome to hear. Hope you share the shots on here 👍👍

Mark @grainfall.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

See? This is the kind of oddity I wouldn't have expected. That's great to know, thanks! I'll certainly be spending some time with the manual - it's one of my favorite parts of new/old gear acquisition, strangely. I'm just beyond excited to get one of these in my hands, finally.

So incredibly excited to have it. Everything I've heard about the lens has been absolutely glowing.

Very good to know, thank you! Yes, I'm sure I'll end up seeking out a red and yellow filter. I might run my selections by you once I find some, if you don't mind. I do love that it can fold with the filter on, though. That's incredibly convenient.

I'm incredibly anxious to get my hands on it and start shooting. It's been a very long time coming

I am so incredibly excited to take this thing out. I have a feeling there will be a bit of a learning curve, since just about all I'm familiar with is the Nikon F/FM series. If you can think of any quirks or oddities that might set me up for success, I'd be grateful to hear them!

Enormous thanks to @tomnorthfilm.bsky.social for the heads up on this beauty. I'll be refreshing the order status until the second it's on my doorstep. #35mm #believeinfilm #filmphotography

I had a few day trips scheduled last week in hopes of shaking the dust of a broken brain off my shoulders, but as luck would have it, the week turned to chaos and it didn't pan out. Here's some from my most recent, yet too distant outing along the Columbia River. #35mm #believeinfilm #eck

It is done! Ya'll finally got me. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these after months and months of drooling over them. Tom, you legend, thank you so much for the heads up.

For sure, these guys' lives are changed forever.

Absolutely insane footage. From what I've gathered so far they're just done for in court. I think they have 4 in custody? My info may be dated. Either way, wild shit.

I'm still around. New stuff getting shot this week, I hope. Shot on a Nikon F3 through a Nikkor 50mm/1.8 with a deep red filter onto #35mm Ilford FP4 dev’d in 510 Pyro #believeinfilm #filmphotography #eck #eastcoastkin

I'm indeed in good company. That spot looks incredible. I think I've seen Yakima Canyon mentioned before somewhere but I certainly never investigated. I'm in Vancouver, WA so wandering the gorge isn't terribly inconvenient. I'll add it to the list - much appreciated and godspeed in finding a muse!

Wow, what an incredible response. I really appreciate your thoughtful encouragement, thank you very much. The dangers of going all in on something really resonates. I guess it was naive to think I'd be able to coast creatively without hitting speed bumps. Again, really appreciate your insight

I imagine it can be done but it's outside my pay grade haha. Definitely an option while printing but ain't nothing here worth that effort lol. There's a ton of potential in these locations so the venture wasn't altogether fruitless. I got to see some awesome scenes I wasn't expecting

Brilliantly said and couldn't agree more. I'm spending a bit more time outside without a camera just trying to shake this off. It's been nice 👍

We'll power through! Like I mentioned in the post, we're in good company🙏

I absolutely cannot wait. It's been a brutal couple of months 🙃

I've been a bit burned out and off the grid lately. Not thrilled with most of what I've shot, which is very little, but I'll snap out of it at some point, I'm sure. grainfall.substack.com/p/graindrop-... #35mm #filmphotography #believeinfilm #eck #eastcoastkin #stunday

What a shot, what a setup! Those sigma art lenses are phenomenal. I've got to make my way to a dark site up here, that's just too cool

Oh nice! Even greater ROI haha. That's so cool

Entirely fair and incredible ROI :)

Can't ask for greater convenience, that's amazing!

Very much appreciated, Matthew, thanks!

I've got some work up at Lightly Spiced Gallery in downtown Vancouver, WA as of today. There's a ribbon cutting for the gallery taking place tomorrow at 4pm. If you're local to the area, come by! I'll be there all afternoon and would love to meet you. #believeinfilm #filmphotography #eck
