I really need to remember to proof-read my posts. Two errors in this last one and a misspelt hash tag in the previous one. Not good enough!

I've been doing it for many years, but they're just so petty.

Problems du jour: Changing the preferences in LR Classic, even the tiniest of changes, stops it loading next time. The standard fix: Hold down Shift & Alt when skating LRC works after several attempts, but involves resetting the preferences to default. Sigh. #photography #fotografie #fotografia

Rough Weather Llanrwst, Conwy, north #Wales / gogledd #Cymru November / Tachwedd 2021 #photography #fotografie #fotografia

A page from a novel, with a torn and slightly charred edge, lies partially concealed by a carpet of autumn leaves and green grass, with yellow, orange, red, and brown leaves partially covering the page, which has the heading "Rough Weather".

I have a crisis of space for my photo books. I keep buying more, but accommodating them is becoming more & more difficult. I've even disposed of a few, mostly the "how to" variety, but it's filling up again. I can see quite a few titles on your shelves that I have, too. We clearly share great taste!

Late to the party (as usual), but I hope the move has gone smoothly, and according to plan. I have vowed never to move house ever again, such is the hassle. I'll be leaving my place in a box!

The "or something" needs further explanation, I think.

Interesting combo; I may give it a go. I often use jalapeño hummus (from Lidl) with coleslaw as a filling in a beef sandwich. Works surprisingly well.

A bit of T-Cut and Turtle Wax, and it'll buff up nicely.

It may not be a typo, but perhaps the typo is "scared" for "sacred".

Its medical name, parotitis, isn't much better.

Well, I'm relieved that you didn't suggest a plastic bag, at least. I'll give the software suggestion a try.

Graham Kidd Photography @grahamkidd.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Are you suggesting that I wear some kind of face-concealment? I'm not sure how that would help, but I suppose there's no harm in trying. (Should I try sneaking up on it, and taking it by surprise, too?)

Graham Kidd Photography @grahamkidd.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I'm a little reluctant try that, TBH.

Probleme du jour: Chrome has decided to stop opening external links from within web pages. And not responding to URLs from new tabs. All recommended actions in support forums have been followed, with zero difference. Can I have just ONE day where everything just works, pretty please?

Something that doesn't itch or chafe, anyway.

I thought that initially, too, but it's actually really impressive. The sheer number, variety and age of the mowers on display is surprising. The owner has a warehouse with thousands more, apparently. When someone offers him one, he can't say no. And at only £3 for entry, it's a bit of a bargain.

Graham Kidd Photography @grahamkidd.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

It's a bit off the beaten track in the town, but it's worth the diversion.

There are many bonkers museums in the UK, and Southport's Lawnmower Museum must be one of the most bonkers. If you hanker to see lawnmowers that once belonged to Paul O'Grady, Eric Morecambe, Nicholas Parsons & Jean Alexander (Hilda Ogden), this is for you. #photography #fotografie #fotografia

Fun, or something like it, has been had, but not at these venues - a gig by ace guitarist, Mike Dawes, which was the reason for our visit.

I'm in Southport for a gig. The town seems anxious for people to have fun, but few seem tempted. #photography #fotografie ##fotografia

The image shows a rocky shoreline with a row of rusting iron posts with the remnants of wooden slats, extending diagonally into the image, separating the water from the rocks. The water is gently rippled, and seaweed covers many of the rocks.

More fun and/or games with LightRoom Classic. For no obvious reason, it just dropps out; no error messages, just stops. Reorganising the catalogue didn't work, so I'm trying the same fix that worked when the catalogue was corrupted a while ago: opening a new catalogue and importing from the old one.
