![Speaking on why she remained closeted until age 36 and whether she has had relationships with women, Panettiere stated, "Yeah, I did. It was scary, though, because there were paparazzi always waiting for me outside, to follow me everywhere. I had very little privacy. I have dated women. I was much more into women even as a child than I was men. I have explored it, but because I hadn't shared this with anybody, I didn't really have the courage to throw myself fully emotionally into it. Mark Duplass calls out random user who claims Kane Parsons ghost-directed 'Backrooms'
"I don't remember seeing you on set. When I was there, Kane was 100% in control. More so than many directors 3x his age"
"I suspect one of the reasons I was hired was because I mentor a lot of young filmmakers ... and I was prepared to help out ... [but] he didn't need any of us"
"He was intensely prepared. He spent the last five years of his life building out one of the most detailed mythologies I've ever been a part of ... and was very sensitive, calm, and smart with dealing with actors"
"For all of you who have these thoughts... were you there?"](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:5o4wcsxfxyj4gr6ijvfvaogo/bafkreicuo6c4e75ucfw6nci65t7qbcwdmweghailrvpncrbvw6bj2yhnou)
