New from Internet Archive Canada: Queen’s University Library has digitized a collection of rare, self-published sci-fi & fantasy fanzines, making long-lost voices from 1940s–1980s more widely accessible. ⚔️ Start your side quest: blog.archive.org/2025/07/15/s... @internetarchiveca.bsky.social

Cover of Dark Fantasy No. 22 (1980), published by Shadow Press. The title is printed in bold, stylized yellow and black text at the top. The central illustration features a medieval knight in armor leaning against a large, leaf-covered tree, holding a bow and arrows. A castle is faintly visible in the background. A diagonal black-and-yellow banner across the bottom reads, “Nominated for 10 SPWAO Awards.” Price is listed as $1.50.

TBC because the OP is framing this like libgen is evil: META are the bad guys here. Libgen is one of the only tools archiving rapidly disappearing digital libraries of ebooks. Now more than ever with banned books on the rise, we need resources like libgen. Meta has no right to scrape that archive.

Here's RUTH, ROSES AND REVOLVER (1987), a documentary from BBC's Arena series with David Lynch presenting clips from early surrealist films that he considered most significant to his own work. Big improvement over Dailymotion's copy. Only aired once! gofile.io/d/CWDkwh

Look there's a LOT wrong with sci-fi and fantasy books from the 80s and early 90s but those authors would find the thirstiest, most shameless sicko imaginable and pay him $5000 to draw the horniest, most extravagant cover art you've ever seen in your life and we need to go back to those days
