Weekly shop was less than expected, so grabbdd another cpuple games in the Steam sale, that's me double dipped on Retro City Rampage DX and Shakedown Hawaii for around a fiver.

Well that's my first 4K buy of 2026 sorted out, with Miracle Mile coming in January, haven't seen it since VHS.

000

I should really watch the original of this, since all I ever saw was a tape from the local video store in the early 80s, picked up because (a) it had a spaceship on the cover and (b) the Star Blazers name reminded me of excellent sci-fi anthology comic Starblazer which I was a huge fan of.

Had a fantastic time down in Arbroath being throughly entertained by Dominik Diamond talking and singing about video games and life. Also caught up with an old friend I've not seen in over six years and got my Gamesmaster book signed as well as buying a poster.

On the bus heading to Arbroath to see Dominik Diamond's show, forst time more than a couple miles outside Montrose for anything other than a medical appointment in over six-and-a-half years.

Not the first time I've reacted badly to what turns out to be a mistranslation regarding AI stuff, so Capcom not passengers in the usual van for now.

011

My local cinema have The Others as part of their Halloween double bill along with The Exorcist, never seen it so looking forward to it.

Love Cotton's redesign for Psyvariar 3. Great soundtrack, not quite clicked with the gameplay yet, but not tried all the characters out.

000

My first (known) exposure to Peter Elson's work was his covers for the Doctor Who New Adventures books, turned out I'd sene a bunch of his stuff before, but not knowing it was him.

020

So after last Halloween's lack of scary movies at the local cinema, we're getting The Others and The Exorcist the same night, same screen for a marathon like the Beetlejuice/Friday The 13th combo a couple years back. Nice. Also Jaws earlier in the month and a couple animated movies for the kids.

This is especially disheartening to see, since the human created art and design at Capcom has been wonderful for the last forty plus years. Been playing Capcom games since the mid 80s and if they go ahead with this as it's implied, we're done.

And glad I didn't wait any longer before listening as had missed Dominik Diamond doing a gig in Arbroath on Tuesday, cross fingers health hold up and I'll make it.

Got my antibiotics but god it was a struggle, aching down my right side (opposite side to the scrape and rash annoyingly) but started taking them and got some Germolene to hopefully calm the rash down a bit from around the scrape. (Falling onto upturned milk crates hurts)

000

Loving the new Ayria album 13 Stiches, been playing it most of the day along with Boko Yout's Gusto and Zanias' Cataclysm, they will also be accompanying my Diablo III adventures over the weekend.

000

Missed It Came From Outer Space at local cinema as a combo of not much sleep, low blood sugar and queasiness put paid to that. I had a fall at the weekend and scraped my side decently falling on an upturned milk crate and it's gotten very red, so getting antibiotics this afternoon.

000

Just had my t-shirt delivered, going to hunker down this evening with the new Diablo III season and listen, it's been a fantastic, entertaining and informative journey.

000

It's that time of the year again.

Yeah, went and checked and I'm running the Burning Masquerade set on both my PS4 and Switch Necromancers. So may well do that again on one of my systems.

I'd played the first Dynasty Warriors PSP game and been disappointed, as it was massively cut down, whereas Warriors Orochi 1 & 2 were full on proper ports and the shortish battles were perfect for portable play. Ended up buying WO2 on 360, WO3 on 360/PS4/PC and WO4 on PS4 and PC. Still my faves.

000

Reminiscing with friends about how I got into musou games, my first was Dynasty Warriors 4 on PS2 back in 2004/2005 but it didn't quite click with me then, then I played Warriors Orochi 2 on the Playstation Portable in 2009 and was hooked, now own 21 games in the franchise, some on multiple systems.

100

I'd already switched to Chinese in the demo and Japanese in the full game even before knowing this, but good to know. I'm used to Japanese in many of these games anyway, with Warriors Orochi 3 and 4, my favourites not having English voices at all.

000

Only managed a couple of battles before bed but yes, very much enjoting the Dynasty Warriors 3 remaster. (pay no attention to the accidental horse summoning when fighting the boss 😁)

000

Oh, the neurons activating in my brain when that music kicks in.

Buldak black packet noodles (Hot Chicken) were really good, sauce was really, really spicy, so definitely not one to have every day. Hopefully some of the other noodles I got are a bit milder.

000

(DIablo III being the one PS4 game sI have installed on my PS5's SSD, just for a wee bit quicker loading) Diablo III PS4 playtime is 479 hours, plus a couple of hundred on Switch and another couple of hundred on XBox 360. Diablo IV I just hit 515 hours.

000

So as if Borderlands 4 DLC, DIablo IV season, No Man's Sky expedition, Witcher 3 Remaster and Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster weren't already enough in the last few weeks, new Diablo III season hits on Friday. 🤣🤪

220

*checks notes* Oh well, that'll be a new Demon Hunter being created since that's my fave set from the S40 Haedrig's Gift. (I seem to remember the Necromancer one's another top choice, been a while and need to check what my characters have already)

It's a massive fuck you to anyone who doesn't want to or can't get to a theatre (be it for distance, financial or health reasons) they class as "good enough" for their made up special label. It's manufactured exclusivity and that an fuck itself off into the sun. *shoogles slowly offstage*

000

Well, Marvel would've gotten some more money out of me before I discovered half the new bits for Avengers:Endgame:Encore are "Infinityvision" exclusive, Marvel's made up cinema certification because they got butthurt Dune Part III nabbed all the iMax screenings.

I've been tempted to mail order big variety boxes before, but most had at least some seafood flavour ones, which I don't like at all, so it's great to have somewhere five minutes walk away where I can pick and choose. So much other stuff I want to try sometime like Miso soup and stuff.

000

Also got my 4K blu rays and games ordered for the month, weekly shop done, bills paid and now I can chill out for a couple of days before going to see It Came From Outer Space at the local cinema on Friday. :)

001

First instant noodle haul from Suki Asian Food Market, two packets each of the Buldak since wanted to try those for ages and a packet each of five others to try out. Just over ten quid and a lot of these are the bigger packs that do me a whole meal on their own. Lots more to try out later.

Last repost is referring to this.

This, so much, I have every other retro Castlevania release on PC and Switch, except this one.

000

Just found out a wee Asian Food Mart has opened up more or less just round the corner, so will go and have a look tomorrow to see what instant noodles they have amongst other things.

Same, I already had new Borderlands 4 stuff, new Diablo IV stuff and new No Man's Sky stuff drop this month, not to mention the Dynasty Warriors 3 remasrer in a couple days, got plenty to occupy me. :)

(not the move pictured, this was after a three woman musou attack on the final boss of the stage)

000

Look, I love YueYing's weapon and moveset in Warriors Orochi 4, but sometimes you have to go back to Warriors Orochi 3, equip her comedy weapon, the big mochi hammer, then do X-X-X-Y to grab a bawbag and slam them into the ground. 😁🤪

Especially when your local library looks like this. 😁

000

PC version ran more or less locked 60fps on high settings at 1080p (Ryzen 5 5600 and RTX3060) and running beteen 70-85fps with vsync off so is an option, but likely going PS5.
