A hummingbird is on the end of a rising branch. Its body is facing our right, but its head is turned toward the camera. Its head is blue, its back is green, it has black wings and a white patch between the head and back. Its breast is also white.

I just bought a gallon of Crosby’s Canadian molasses, a kitchen necessity. I hope it will hold me until there’s a new President in the US and the exceedingly stupid tariff on Canadian molasses goes away. Since Crosby’s is “ fancy” molasses I made a fancy pear gingerbread to celebrate.
