I've been saving my Xbox rewards points to get GTA VI for *free* and am about $30 away from covering the price of the ultimate edition. but honestly? the hype isn't there for me and maybe I won't even bother getting it.. maybe I'll use my $100+ worth of points toward something else 🤷

general observation, but is it just me or does the quality of paper used to print a lot of modern paperbacks seem to have gotten really bad? like really thin pages, really coarse, and in some cases the books just feel smaller and flimsier than paperbacks should?

I am at the point in my "career" where if I am working on an assignment and have a question, I'm going to pause everything until I receive a response. I'm regularly overwhelmed and if I'm working on something new to me, I need definitive steps or confirmation that what I am doing is correct

I forgot my glasses at home today when I left for work. I never forget them. it's rare that I ever forget to bring anything that I need, because it is so common of me to triple-check and make sure I have everything, no matter where I'm going. I've genuinely been annoyed at myself all day over this.

the Series X update that came out today for Fallout 76 is a night and day difference over he old version. super smooth 60 with VRR that actually works, everything looks so much better and the game feels more responsive too. kinda hilarious that it took them this long to do it though

two weeks of having a vehicle after not having one, and not even driving for over 10 years, has been an experience. I missed driving a LOT. diving balls-deep into city driving like this though, wow. too many shitty drivers out there, but at least I have always been an excellent defensive driver.

we went to the Canadian Tire on Carling Ave. tonight and apparently it's the largest Canadian Tire in the country.. I did not know that before we went, but it makes sense now. TWO stories, it was massive.
