I watched Jaws 4 and Chopping Mall back to back and I had significantly more alcohol in me by the time I started the latter but it just instantly stuck in my mind so much more, The Revenge is BORING, it barely even registers to the brain

Sabre maps on well to McGregor's use of identity in Killraven. In K.R.'s 2019, "normal" identities are found only on Martian sell-outs. The invaders have stolen our names. Sabre's Flynn persona, then, is part of his "imprisoned freedom"--an identity they can't steal, but one that locks him to a role

Little trivia about Sabre is he actually started as a villain in McGregor's Killraven, as a mercenary doing slave-hunting for the Martians. He doesn't get much development but it's easy to see why McGregor liked him, there's some interesting takes on the Errol Flynn archetype already blooming here

Went in expecting some generic action figure fare, only to be greeted by something a lot smarter. Yeah Deathlok fights gangsters and robot werewolves but the central conflict is ultimately about technology stealing a man's very humanity in service of violence. "I can't even choose my way of dying."

Deathlok attempts to kill himself, but the computer in his brain refuses to let the laser pistol fire because "action is contrary to programming."
