Star Trek Beyond = A+ I wasn't sure I was digging this as much as the first two and then James T. Kirk hopped on a motorcycle and I'm like yep, that did it. Then the "Sabotage" scene happened. (Sulu was great 😂) Next was the Yorktown chase which was amazing. Chris Pine era is incredible.

Moneyball = A+ I loved all the off the field baseball-y stuff. Pitt & Hill were great. That 20th game sure was intense. sheesh Can't wait until the way better version of this comes out years from now called Brewersball.

On Golden Pond = A- Really terrific The only thing that took me out of it a bit was Jane Fonda's part of the story (calling him Norman especially) and also didn't care for her acting. Apparently she was nominated for an Academy Award for those 10 minutes of screen time so what do I know?

Halls of Montezuma = A- It must of been fairly remarkable when it was released SEVENTY-FIVE years ago. It's still darn good today. First time I've ever seen tank-mounted flamethrowers. Didn't realize that was a thing. I'm convinced that no matter the year, Karl Malden always looked 70 yrs old.

We Bought a Zoo = A Was channel surfing yesterday and saw this. Had never heard of it. So I DVR'd it last night and watched it today. VERY good decision on my part I must say. Scarlett Johansson, Matt Damon, lots of animals and that cute little bugger Rosie. About as wholesome as it gets.

Full Metal Jacket = A+ Can't believe I went his entire appearance without realizing Private Pyle was Vincent D'Onofrio. Masterclass by R. Lee Ermey. I thought for sure that sniper girl was going to use a grenade or something on them at the end there.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off = A+ This is one of the rare times where I actually did previously watch the movie I'm reviewing. Granted that was 40 years ago. I loved it then. I love it now.

Ocean's 8 = C A ton of star power. Not a lot of anything else. I guess it was probably the writing. Most of these actors are comedic geniuses when put in the right situation. They were certainly not given much of a chance.

The Late Show = C+ I was mostly unfamiliar with Lily Tomlin's game. I thought she was pretty terrific. Outside of The Honeymooners, I was also unfamiliar with Art Carney's works. I enjoyed their pairing.

Cape Fear = D It just seemed like anytime the direction/production could cut corners, that's exactly what they did. I hated De Niro's accent. I also didn't like the writing, direction, production and most of the acting. Other than that, it was ok.

The White Lotus bores me to tears. The Comeback shouldn't be anywhere near this list. Band of Brothers is GREAT. So is The Pacific which didn't make the list. Treme and The Penguin are glaring omissions.

Major League II = A+ Not sure why the bad rap on this one. I may have even liked it better than the first. Rube and Tanaka were GREAT additions. Parkman was an excellent nemesis. Also, I'm a massive fan of Omar Epps so swapping him in for Wesley Snipes was something I had zero issue with.

2001: A Space Odyssey = D I have loved every Stanley Kubrick film I've seen (A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove). Right up until this one. PAINFULLY SLOW. Got a bit more interesting when HAL went rogue but not much more. People seemed to love it though so what do I know?
