I'm gonna say this simply: the APA has chosen to protect known sexual abusers of children because those abusers are/were officers of the APA or its regional affiliates. And has for at least 30 years. Some sexual abusers of children are even editors of the DSM and hold authority over defining abuse.

No, but many of its people are. And many of the synagogues around the world support Israel and partake in a system of ingratiating their worshippers to Israel via facilitation to perks like Birthright Israel. A lot of people will think positively of anyone who offers a 2 week free vacation.

One of the things that I hope Jewish people begin to do is question the basis of the rabbinate in the wake of their failure to prevent us from, and in many cases leading us to, committing genocide. We really need to ask ourselves "if this is what our system led us to, what good is our system?"
