I've mounted two pair of wings to the foam belt. I still have some decorating to do, paint, and three more pair of wings to attach to the skirt. Come see my OC Butterfly Fairy Cosplay at Elko Pop Con!

a few sponsored paid readings, judging our state's Poetry Out Loud competition (nationals were yesterday!)... ...and poetry spreading from his brain like warm sweet oil collected and being published soon. Universe might ebb again. That sucks. But it'll flow too. Can't flow without the ebb.

My husband is a well published poet. He went through a bout with writer's block for a couple years. He was frustrated, said last year he'd probably not publish again. But, the universe ebbs and flows and he got flow this year. State poet fellow, invited poetry workshop guesting ops, ⬇️

To answer: I didn't think about it. I started up my @Dremel with flexshaft and got to brr-brr-n. What I should have done beforehand WAS PUT MY LONG HAIR BACK IN A SCRUNCHY. I managed to untangle most of it but I did lose about four inches in length. I now keep a scrunchy w/the Dremel.

I'm delighted with these defined swallowtail curves! I used a basting spray to place 2mm foam shapes onto two layers of black faux suede. Turned right side out, ironed, then top stitched! Skirt allll floofy! Next, making and attaching butterfly wings. #cosplay

I made a paneled skirt for my original character butterfly fairy cosplay. So much floofiness. You can barely see where I'll be anchoring wings between the panels. Flounces and ruffles almost done! One more row. #cosplay

Let's ask this random #cosplay question while I wait for hot water to work it's magic on my cup'o'noodle: Cosplayers, you're given 20 bucks and told you have to spend it on yourself, but NO cosplay supplies. How are you getting sneaky about it? Comments on my lunch also welcome.

Fabric type first. Here's the knits, here's the light woven, here's the heavier woven. Then fabric color, separating prints from solids. Then I put common colors together no matter the type of fabric because I use it so often. All my white, red & black are together. All of it in clear totes.
