8/? If I were to guess I would guess that things are falling apart in order to be recreated into something more kind and inclusive. The contrasts are huge in some areas of the world and perhaps in your life too. We all have "things" that challenge us and challenge our world views.

6/? No one in the family knows. But to my mother James is very real. The events unfolding around the world are very real. We can rail against the injustice of it all and there is plenty injustices to be named. But we don't know the why and wherefores of what this is all about. We can guess.

5/? but we can only do what we are called to do, moment by moment. That moment might require you to sit with a loved one and just be with them as they straddle two worlds and roll along with the reality they are currently in. I wonder who James is that mom has to get ready for.

4/? or I can rail against the injustice of it all and that my friends doesn't do anyone any good at all. The choice is to be best we can be and to act in each moment from the best place we have in that moment as we move through life. There isn't much more asked of us. We might think we have to do

3/? And so it goes. My story isn't unique. We are all straddling two worlds right now whether we are aware of it or not. Things are rapidly changing. And as with my mother, I can roll with it and hold a vision of everything will turn out as it is meant to

2/? There was a sweetness in the visits and there was sorrow and sadness. I said to my sister that I would never pick up the phone to hear her voice or call her to hear her voice. She always recognized my voice but details of my life and my family's life were often hidden from her memory.

1/? I was in Ontario to visit my mother who is in the hospital and she has dementia. My mother is straddling two worlds right now. My mother recognized me and was happy to see me each day and each day it was new for her. She doesn't remember my visit. I don't mind.

Life is a balancing act. It is in constant flux though sometimes it can be hard to see that when all is calm but boy when it starts to shift in bigger ways then hold on to your hats or not.
