i really like (what i believe is) bertrand's theme. i set it as the default skirmish song for leda without considering the implications, demonstrating about as much care as the scenario writers

i finished dietrich's part 1. i dunno, man. engage was a significantly more fun toy and story/character-wise i'm feeling worse about this game than 3 houses (which i wasn't crazy about). fabio is pretty good and will rightfully get reams of fanfiction on ao3, but i need more juice than this

i'm trying not to harp on the story too much because i'm here for "fun toy" but that cutscene after dietrich's chapter 11 battle was so bad it was genuinely bewildering. i thought i skipped a scene by mistake. what on earth happened there

The "Skip clash" button doesn't work 70% of the time because the auto-battle A.I. Will always make the worst decisions when left on its own. But that's okay because I just spit my drink laughing at the result

i switched to hard mode part of the way into dietrich's route and one paralogue was a pain in my ass but for the most part the game still feels quite easy. i find that i am very rarely punished. i can park my flier right next to an archer and they will still go for my King Motherfucker instead
