Keep questioning, keep learning, and keep challenging what autocrats think they know. The world is changing rapidly, keep your knowledge up to date through regular and meaningful engagement. The most dangerous assumption is believing you've heard everything worth hearing.

We're looking for our next people engagement project.... Harness human experiences, hear honest perspectives, and challenge how decisions are usually made. Helpful insights emerge when people feel heard rather than handled. Human-centred change happens when honesty outweighs hierarchy.

The Challenge
Creggan Neighbourhood Partnership (CNP) needed structured, evidence-based community data to underpin their National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) Strengthening Communities application. Traditional paper consultations risked dominant voices and slow manual collation.
All 5 NLCF Outcomes Covered
1. Improving Physical & Mental Health
2. Building Positive Relationships
3. Reducing Health Inequalities
4. Young People Reaching Their Potential
5. Children’s Social & Emotional Skills
Gobby in Action
LumenEdge Data Consulting ran a 2-hour live session using Gobby. Participants anonymously surfaced community needs, voted on priorities, and generated a ranked list of activities, all in real time. The structured export was ready before the room emptied.
“Gobby turned a room of community voices into ranked, funder-ready evidence before we left the building.”

It's getting on for 15 years since Gary Beckwith, Gobby's founder, read this book. There's no doubt it helped inspire what Gobby is today. Thanks to a small group of long suffering but extraordinary people, we're sharing Gobby as qualitative-first survey platform with the world this week.
Book cover: The Powr of Co-Creation by Venkat Ramswamy and Francis Gouillart. Two excerpts are highlighted in the book "In summary, innovation co-creation is about enabling "co-creative interactions in innovation" and "Taken together, the examples in this chapter illustrate how enterprises can successfully co-create innovation, making participants' interactions with enterprise more "multisided" and their experiences more meaningful."
