watched a found footage horror film tonight (Leaving D.C) and it's killing me that almost all the letterboxd reviews are complaining about an ending which was resolved in the cut I watched, I dunno why there's a shorter version out there and why everyone is watching it.

finished the full playthrough/good ending and postgame stuff of Chronicles of the Wolf, it's so absurdly good. Had to abandon it when it first came out right at the end because the hit flash was so extreme, I'm really grateful to them for listening to feedback and fixing that, I needed closure.

Strongly relating to Kratos in the new GoW 2d game because I too have zero interest in what is going on with the plot/Vasilis. I hate being overly negative but I'm surprised how much of a slog this is to get through, I thought I'd find the setting interesting at least but everything is so generic.

just did a playthrough of speedrun mode in the new Abathor patch, I like what they did with the balancing. Earlier stages feel more exciting and later stages more manageable. I used Cranthor though and I haven't used him much in the past. This guy still reminds me of the axe guy in last action hero

Letterboxd year in review always surprises me, felt like I watched mostly 80s stuff and horror. Didn't think I watched much Hugh Grant but I guess so (Glass Onion, Paddington 2, Wonka, Remains of the Day.) I think he tied with JCVD, but really JCVD wins as Double Impact should count twice.

just watched Death Warrant for the first time and i'm obsessed with the idea it's actually a vampire film, there's so much setup for it. JCVD even gets an echo effect on his attacks at one point, like he's awakening his belmont powers. the film is so much better now that i have this theory.

Returning to Cadaver on the amiga, one of my favourite games growing up. i could never figure it out as a kid and instead found ways to break stages and i attribute this to my interest in speedrunning, felt like i was taming the jank. I still find it obtuse as an adult, but it's still also sick.
