"scan this qr code for instructions". Ummm NO? This is a tyre pressure pump that I might need in the middle of nowhere where I get no signal. You scan the qr code and it takes you to instructions in a pdf that are formatted as though it was a physical leaflet SO JUST GIVE ME THE LEAFLET

I think I'm probably seeing some benefits. There's definitely something that feels good about being less reliant on the environment being totally perfect in order to get stuff done. Like it feels like it becomes easier and easier over time you know?

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

It is definitely painful to start with xD. I've got no internet at home and so I'm limited in what I can put on at the moment. So I have been feeling the pain of that silence fr

I can relate to this big time. I wanted to get into the hang of loitering around in Discord calls, though I can't at the moment. Problem is that I end up having conversations and not working. So I tend to settle for Twitch in the background or having the old fashioned radio on.

Typed up all 2,669 words. Now, time to rewrite it with my current skill level and line it up more correctly with the current version of the story.

Also I totally forgot I put the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver "wing snap" into this. That scene clearly made a big impression on me.

My 14 year old self used the words "recognisation" and "unregardable" which like. Yeah those could be words. They're not! But they might have been.

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Searching through some stuff and I found some writing I did for my comic like 20 years ago. It's so incredibly badly written, but the scene is so epic and a huge part of the plot. So I've decided to type it up exactly as it's written before I re-write it.

Also, before I go to bed. Fyi, straight people. If a queer person tells you to pay more attention to your fiance we literally just mean like sing in her directions and touch her non-sexually. Why is it so hard for you guys.

I think maybe (and this might be alcohol talking) I was always just too sexy and cool. Sure, none of you wanted to be my friend in school. But maybe it was just a case of "wow she(?) is so cool and makes me question everything I thought about gender and friendship"

Which I get, but then I brought out the big guns "once, I didn't sleep for 3 days because I was convinced I caught HIV 15+ years ago and I've been carrying it around all this time and I'm imagining the shame of contacting all my exes about it 100,000 times". He was like hmm yeah might be OCD.

000

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

We spoke about the stuff like door checking and stuff like that 2 weeks ago. Which feels like, classic OCD. But this time I brought up about compulsive rumination because I didn't realise that was part of it until this week. He didn't seem entirely convinced he was like it could just be your autism

100

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

So, spoke to my therapist about it today. He doesn't specialise in OCD and can't diagnose it, but he had some helpful insights and I'll probably see what the NHS have to offer.

120

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Yeah I think you're totally right. At least now, knowing what it is, I can start treating it :)

010

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Oh. So it would have been easier to realise this is OCD if it didn't start with something totally rational.

I’m extremely disappointed and annoyed by Twitch to do GenAI training. I don’t know that I’ll leave the platform yet, but I do encourage people to stop giving them money through subs & bits. Support your favorite creators through ko-fi or other 3rd party tipping options.

My two pence regarding Bluesky is I still believe my prediction that Bluesky will be moving to a platform full of adverts, fairly soon. If you listen to the podcast you can understand why I'd say that. I'd love to chat to any of you if you listen to the podcast.

I've been thinking a lot about this and recently finished listening to a series by the Financial Times called 'Hot Money' where they look at the financing and big wigs of the porn industry. And it shows some insight into sexual censorship online and why certain companies are so paranoid about it.

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

For most beings, they simply die and their bodies return to the dirt. For the demi-gods, they have everlasting souls. When they lose their bodies, they can inhabit a back up. If there's no back ups then they return to their Creator in spirit.

120

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

But I see lots of non-sexual nude photos that also get marked as adult so they clearly don't have a distinction between the two. It's so annoying!

110

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

It's so frustrating because they have a "non-sexual nudity" tag but every time I've used it they have overwritten it with "adult content". Apparently non-sexual nudity can only apply to photos and not art.

I'm considering doing a little study/questionnaire to find out the most common names that people give their fursonas per species... I'm just curious. What do you all think would be common for different animals?

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Then, we can have a "catch up" feed and a normal feed. Where the catch up hides all the posts we've checked off - but we can go back to the normal feed to see stuff we've already seen (and want to find again).

000

Gnot Ryune @gnotknormal.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

I agree with what a lot of what ppl are suggesting; I'd like to be able to catch up from where I left off. I don't follow mounds of people and I like to see everything and keep up to date. Maybe an easier way to do it would be a "tick" so we can manually mark posts we've seen (and acknowledged)...
