He’s had a majority government for almost four years. Any of the things currently important to him could have easily been passed.

A pretty impactful policy that has received zero media coverage (as far as I can tell). But “Premier made billionaire sad” gets plenty of columns #bcPoli

FFS. I Googled Wordle this morning (as I always do). The first hit was the NYT page; the second was an AI summary giving me the answer.

This whole thread is disquieting. It’s pretty much an all-out abandonment of what Carney has said about climate change and pipelines in the past.

Ottawa has left the outdated 2009 Discover Canada booklet in place, pushing the work of teaching reconciliation to newcomers onto underfunded community educators.

I dream of someday having the space to report on how David Eby went from telling NDP supporters BC could not afford to keep approving fossil fuel projects to being one of LNG's biggest boosters He made that shift in less than 4 years

LNG Canada Phase 2 would double output to 30 million tonnes a year, while global gas demand falls and a glut approaches. And they want to expand before proving Phase 1 is safe: its flaring already exceeds B.C. permits. Real leadership means scaling up clean energy, not doubling down fracked gas.

Mark Carney is going to declare the West Coast Oil Pipeline in the national interest this week. Then the real work to get it built will have to begin -- and the oil and gas companies keep telling us they aren't prepared to do it. #cdnpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2026/09/28/o...

Carney, Smith and the oil companies all have their own plans — but they can’t all be right
The politicking around a new west coast oil pipeline is almost done. Now the real work begins — and the real challenge reveals itself.

So the NDP has called a provincial election (in the face of fixed election date legislation), despite having a majority and several years left on its mandate, with no real issue at the heart of it, in competition with municipal elections all across the province. Nah, I won't be voting NDP.
