I used to live over the road and enjoyed the changing paint jobs over the years. The bright blue didnt really work.

Her analysis of the consequences of Eddie's fecklessness was heartfelt and hard won from a lifetime's experience. Go Clarrie. #TheArchers

I raised my kids in the 70s and they got pocket money to buy sweets on Friday, that was all. I was influenced by reading 'Pure White and Deadly' by John Yudkin when it was published.

I like it. Especially in a salad with chopped oranges and walnuts.

The best place for city solar might not be on the roof. ☀️ It could be the awning over your favorite café. Rollable solar awnings provide shade while generating clean electricity. #Solar #CleanEnergy #SolarAwnings youtube.com/watch?v=M8fw...

I have a squirrel grave in my allotment now and a cover over the butt.

There's got to be a joke in there about carpet tacklessness but I'm not finding it. #TheArchers

The one who went for a swim in my water butt isn't up to anything any more. 😔

It seems to me to be a basic human kindness not to start a passionate fling while you're still living with the ex. #TheArchers

And such a completely different character, all by voice.

And miss when the celebrant asks if there is any reason why they should not be joined in matrimony and Josh storms in shouting they stole his farm? #TheArchers

Don't give them ideas.

Apparently many in firing squads shoot to miss.

Now that Brian and Adam are back, will someone PLEASE end the family conspiracy of silence about Clonkgate. It's driving me nuts. #TheArchers

Yes, poor pensioners need the support and I hope it will continue where needed. Many of us are not rich but not poor either due to our good luck in the housing market of the 70s. We face the care lottery where suddenly it could cost over £1500 every week, with care workers who are badly underpaid.

The consequence in my 1960s grammar school was getting out of assembly😊. All the Jews, Muslims and atheists filed in for the notices at the end.

Pensioner here. I'd rather have a functioning care system.

The social care issue is fundamentally simple: do we carry on with a lottery where one-in-ten random families lose their life savings (and it definitely could be you), or do we all contribute towards that bill in some way?

GlynB @glynb.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

The answer is yes and that's a very good thing. A bit more tax now or a lottery that could cost your house.

You'd think they'd be happy to see a nice big Union Jack.

When it began I was struggling with an app offered on the practice website called Patient Portal. I went to the surgery and asked the receptionist about it. Her reply 'what's Patient Portal?'
