gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 13/09/2025For me this has a slightly magical feel to it. It’s not an image I’d usually make. I’m short white magic. It accidentally captured something I like about the Dales, the slight off kilter nature of it all. 130
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 13/09/2025Evergreen plantations are common in small areas in parts of the Dales. Everything underneath them is normally dead, and they don’t create much in the way of good habitat. Productive for generating wood though. Image is not good but heading in a direction I like. Needed more living trees at the top. 020
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 10/09/2025The Dales is an artificial landscape that results from mass deforestation and widespread livestock farming. I like the explicit evidence of that. It’d have been more impactful closer. 020
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 10/09/2025tbf not really I guess. I do love a pigeon hole though :) 010
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 09/09/2025I like the light, I like the receding lines, I like that the countryside is separated from the viewer by a window. I like the built railway which pushes through the landscape. I think the colours work. However, this isn't the Dales and it's very similar to other things I'd do. 120
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 07/09/2025This doesn't work. It's cliched. The lights ok. It doesn't say anything I want to say. Maybe because I don't know what I want to say. 130

gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 18/05/2025This I did not know. Research mode enabled. This will be better than bad DIY mode. 110
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 18/05/2025Agree, not the only factor. Failing economy predated brexit. Brexit is another side effect. Wedge issues seem much more powerful when people are already angry. Perhaps. So far abortion rights have stood up, perhaps due to uk lack of strong catholic and evangelical base. UK not a nice place right now 110
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 18/05/2025I always thought that over time liberal thinking wins. Now I realise that’s only the case when people feel they are doing better than others. As soon as the economy doesn’t deliver people revert to some shitty mean. (In both senses of that word). 110
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 01/04/2025I've got value out of it producing javascript for front ends. I spent about 8 days building a .NET C# app with Razor Pages and a C# backend. The front end work was ok. The back end was poor. Over complicated, often incorrect, and integration (e.g. to Shopify) was a disaster. 010
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 01/04/2025It does seem quite good as a "intelligent" grep. 000
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 01/04/2025I had some decent success getting it to write unit tests for existing code or to perform basic refactoring. That begin said, it made a mess of converting C# verbatim strings to raw strings. 100
gluefactorybound.bsky.social @gluefactorybound.bsky.social · 01/04/2025I had some success using it for ansible, particularly when I've already established a working pattern, but even then it took 30 minutes to get it to provide a well structured role to add a new directory structure to an nginx config. 100
