I should also be clear that I'm only disagreeing w dance music albums, many of them try to have an epic intro track with a character that doesn't match the album. there's stuff that does it right, I just find it hard to find.

I'll look into patreon and payhip, but the breaking point for me on gumroad was the min payout multiplying by 10x (10usd to 100). That's not a huge deal, but I don't like the idea of a corp using the money people have sent me for a while. just felt icky.
