Thank-you. He's a real Kraken. My friend is also a cat person so he "got" it. I am grateful for good people in my life every day. That was General Toot last year at my art show. He hung out, slept on some of the art, and accepted pets, photo ops and "cookies" from everyone! Dood ATE. IT. UP.

Thank-you. I nearly lost him 2 years ago when I was trying to integrate my F3 Bengal, General Toot with them and Castillo developed a stress infection that resulted in a blockage. We had to do surgery and if it hadn't been for a friend in Canada I've never met, I couldn't have afforded to help him.

He is THE happiest and most grateful kitty I've EVER had in my whole life of rescuing/taming ferals. He sees me & starts purring from across the room. He makes me laugh every day. Was going to rehome once rescued/fixed, but when I lost Chairman Meow then Playdoh 6 mos apart, he was home already. 💝

My Lieutenant Castillo was rescued from the parking lot of my on-campus apartment. The RA helped me get him! He'd never lived inside, so even ambient noise scared him. He began using the box once living inside, but if it has more than 1 "go" in it, he plots beside it and refuses to use it.

The necropsy revealed nothing but red nodes, but nothing definitive. I'd only had him 4-1/2 years. We tried to reverse it since you can do that in males, but that didn't work, and he passed before we got to insulin. I would have done anything for him, and still will for my others. He was my heart. 💔

I'm so sorry. My first Bengal, Chairman Meow, died suddenly while being boarded at his vet one weekend. I can't help but wonder if he died that night b/c he was terrified that I left him. I can't stop blaming myself for leaving him there, but thought he was OK. He'd just been diagnosed with it, too.

Most guys in my family were fixed-wing nuts. Uncle Keith worked at McDonnell-Douglas as a EE and designed the original shuttle's E-systems. Then there were air-traffic controllers/mechanics. Most of those guys are gone now. I'm trying to get into flying for animal/natural disaster rescues.

Dismissing them due to a lack of education is easy. Every one I've argued has low levels of scientific literacy, but they aren't necessarily people who don’t believe in science. It's more about distrusting agencies and authorities; a combo of conspiracy mentality and an incredibly low self-esteem.

As a physicist, I've embroiled myself in more than one debate with them. The ONLY thing that shut them down was addressing the fundamental reason FOR their beliefs; i.e., the part of their broken ego that required validation through beliefs the rest of us weren't special enough to "see".

Their ideas are based on scientific misunderstandings that can be easily refuted. For most people, even those who have no physics background, the evidence for a spherical Earth is obvious. But that's why presenting evidence doesn't work, because their beliefs aren't in an inability to SEE evidence.

But that doesn't work on these flerfs, and I'll tell you why. Their beliefs are not in fallacy or lack of evidence, they are steeped in the conspiracy; the part that gives them their needed self-esteem; the belief that only THEY are elite enough to believe something that's eluded the rest of us.

BTW, just thought you should know: you can't claim copyright on designs you used generative AI to create. it's now illegal to claim copyright on designs that trained on STOLEN artwork (like mine). The first landmark case just set that precedent at the beginning of February.

That's true if you look at mathematics for what it really is: the teaching of critical thinking and LOGIC (prove the argument X and do it with these numerous tools). The numbers just pay the bills, but what we're really showing them is how to SOLVE any problem. #ITeachMaths #mathsky

For those students srsly interested, Chrome (perhaps most other browsers) has an extension that will block generative AI images shown in an image search, as well as any generative AI responses in the same searches. It's a blissful experience to do a search and not get generated, inaccurate garbage.

You misunderstand the diff in AI/generative AI. ALL instances of GEN AI STEAL! I had 2 paintings scraped 2 years ago. I wasn't cited, thanked, asked, or paid. Just found my sig in the generated pieces. Its affect on a planet in a clean-water crisis is devastating. You can't have it both ways.
