Updating our household gaming/VR machine to Windows 11 has, unsurprisingly, broken authentication to SMB shares. Why? Because the GUI that prompts you for credentials *crashes*. It doesn't matter if the PW is right, wrong, or even if you click "Cancel". It will crash. Very cool feature! /s

It's a fun sight when a Steam game adds achievements for stats it was already tracking, causing a bunch of people to earn nearly all the same achievements at the same time.

Adding onto this: Back in March of last year, I bought 32GB of DDR5 SODIMM RAM for $80.82, and a 2TB NVMe SSD for $167.48. Those prices today are $384.78 and $369.99, respectively.

Crazy timing for this (xkcd.com/3245/) @xkcd.com comic to come out, precisely one day before I updated my PC and found my Bluetooth to be entirely inoperable. So I searched the problem, and found that other people were having the same problem as of ... today.

So have been working on this, ironically most of the work is writing the dynamic generation of the button images, rather than Stream Deck I/O (the library handles this well). Turns out different Stream Decks have different key sizes, so I made this debug script to test how they'll look on each.

Super short, fits into a single screenshot. "You want to do X? Here's a command to do it." No BS or filler.

So this was my excuse to buy a Framework.

Framework Laptop 16 mostly disassembled, with the individual parts neatly laid out on a wooden table and a light gray project mat. The parts include separate black and orange bezels, spacers, a detachable keyboard and touchpad, and an NVMe SSD/SO-DIMM RAM still in the packaging.

Same subject as the previous image, but taken at a "straight on" angle instead of to the side.

Framework Laptop 16 now fully assembled and powered on, sporting an RGB keyboard and a generic "Insert Boot Media" message on the screen.
