DNA in sediments tells a longer story! New research shows sedimentary #eDNA can persist up to 132 days & be up to 1800x more concentrated than in water. What do you think about this? tinyurl.com/mtr947tn #Genomics #Biodiversity #Conservation

Working on some spatial questions with regard to #eDNA and wanted to pose a quick poll to the community, what’s the minimum eDNA dispersion scale in marine environment? Is it 100s of m, km, 10s of km, 100s of km?

We have figured out a way to quantify eDNA metabarcoding data just like trawls do for estimating 🐟 abundance. It's not the easiest paper to digest but I will be submitting an R package for automating the model, then it should be plug&play. Anyone interested to collab? #eDNA #FisheriesManagement
