Other than the occasional pang of muscle memory ('in this situation, I always had a drink. Therefore I should have a drink now' - most commonly, that 1st beer from the fridge after work on a Friday), I don't miss it in the slightest.

Thank you 🙂. I am very proud of this. Lifelong heavy drinker, never tried to give up before, never even attempted dry January! Wasn't even planning to stop now. Just a combination of circumstances which made me not arsed about it any more. Best thing I've done for loads of reasons!

She pulled the same trick at a Turkish restaurant at the weekend - "should we get the BBQ sharing platter?". Proceeds to have a single skewer of adana kebab and a flatbread Vs 1 x adana kebab, 3 X lamb chops, 2 x skewers of chicken and 3 x flatbreads for me I've no self control 🙄
