How often do I check the bootleg gizzard official account for the next archival release? The Caverns drop yesterday had me checking again first thing this morning when I woke up. #KGLW #KingGizzard

and the big crowd pleaser, Le Risque wraps it up for the night, for one hell of a show. The opening Iron Lung -> Hypertension was the big highlight of night 2 of King Gizzard in Lisbon...everything else was just wonderful gravy. #KGLW #KingGizzard

Oh wow this KGLW outro is crunchy! Is it Stu's new microtonal guitar making these wonderful tones? I can't wait to hear all the microtonal songs again with these new sounds. I saw in some setlists that they were busting out less played microtonal songs...this must be why #KGLW #KingGizzard

With the drop of Caverns 2023 bootleg, the Universe is telling me I am way behind in live King Gizzard consumption, having just started listening to the current tour. I am going to hold off on relistening to Caverns until after Europe tour, so up next up is a Lisbon night 2 thread #KGLW #KingGizzard

Huge news! Now keep going...I need more King Gizzard shows from 2022 and 2023! Hope this is just the beginning. #KGLW

Really looking forward to checking out night 2 of Lisbon later today, but think this morning I'll relisten to that Ice V and Slow Jam 1 from night 1. Those were the obvious highlights to me. What other bangers did I miss on 1st listen? #KGLW #Gizzsky #KingGizzard

The lengthy Self-Immolate w/ Stu shave closes it out. It's a solid tour opener. I think the Ice V, nonagon suite and Slow Jam 1 were the big highlights for me. Am I in Heaven? was great but not the main course this time. I am looking forward to hearing night 2, hopefully tomorrow! #KGLW #KingGizzard

Wrapping up the solid opener metal trio of Mars For the Rich, Converge > Witchcraft. I recall struggling with some guitar tones last tour, but it all sounds great so far. I heard there are new guitars? Up next is an Antarctica I've been told has dash of "evil" jam to it - thanks KGLW.net #KingGizz

I've put it off long enough. These King Gizz setlists look more intriguing each night. I've heard very little so far from the tour, so these will be mostly 1st listens. I love how quick shows are streaming under bootleg gizzard, but now I'm way behind. Time to fire up Lisbon night 1! #KGLW #KingGizz

Speaking of the best live King Gizzard recordings, I completely missed the 3-year anniversary for the King Gizz Live Spreadsheet last week. The spreadsheet was expected to be temporary, but it still gets enough daily visitors that I try to keep it current. #KGLW docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

I haven't caught too much of the 2025 King Gizzard Europe residency tour yet, just bits and pieces. I am going to start with Lisbon night 1 soon. Can't break my streak of hearing the best recordings for every King Gizz show available, SBD or AUD, if its the best, I got to hear it. #KingGizzard

Very sad to learn of the passing of Tom Robbins. He was friendly, thanks mainly to Lawrence Gerald who interviewed him for High Frontiers. I thought he was an underrated novelist. His playful sensual style didn't jive with the literati sensibility. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...

Joel Bernstein, “Joni Mitchell, Skating on Lake Mendota,” 1976. Photographed through locked, gated window of an Oakland, Cal., gallery, Nov. ‘24. 📷 -gw

A photo of Joni Mitchell skating on Lake Mendota, which became the gatefold photo for her “Hejira” album, is framed and signed by photographer Joel Bernstein, hanging behind the gated and locked window of an Oakland gallery. Her back to the camera and skating in black attire draping off her arms, spread bird-like, she gives the appearance of flight in a white landscape. Here, though, the reflection of the gates of the gallery infers Mitchell’s flight is confined.

Favorite King Gizzard jams from last tour is an impossible task at this early point, but a handful do spring to mind: Paso Robles Hypertension, Atlanta and Arkansas Work This Time, Albuquerque and Miami FAFYL, and Oklahoma City's The River, but I know I'm missing a bunch. #kinggizzard #gizzsky #kglw

Great show and maybe the first show this tour where my highlights were the same songs I was most excited to hear: Magma, Ice V and Mirage City run of 3 songs mid-show, and then the final Swan Song -> Set and Magenta Mountain improvised techno table run of 3 songs. #kinggizzard #gizzsky #kglw
