I'll say that there were two things that are highlights! ^^ 1. I kinda messed around in blender and figured out a working system, in case I wanna do 3D modeling. (It ain't perfect tho, I'll be fr, LOL) 2. Watchin' @northernmissd76.bsky.social playing my two games was pretty much the highlight! ^o^

Okay so the "starting TMoS work on Monday" plan didn't work out as well as I hoped.. ^^;; (TL;DR: restless night because I was worried about someone else and intrusive thoughts kicked my ass.) I am mostly better now after having a convo with my friends about it working on not doing shit alone.

Okie! So a bit of a update from the post I am QRPing!! The Mage of Silence Update!

Firstly, and I mention this in my update video but moving forward, I am going to work on the remaining episodes ahead of time, due to some factors:

1. Losing a VA in the middle of the series might be a factor.

2. Plus, planning shit ahead of time is a good thing, actually.

I will keep my production order for TMoS (storyboarding first and scripting second) since I like doing that but once I get the directions table down for all of the remaining episodes, I will set up on final casting call for this series as a way to can VAs for new characters but a new VA for Chiyunei as well!

Also, the amount of the remaining episodes will 5 so we are actually the halfway point of the story!

Here's hoping that this will do good for me but since planning a fanime series ahead of time worked out well for the creators that had done that, I don't see why it shouldn't for me!

I will also start production for ep 6 next week. This Year's Weekly Challenge has ended, sure but this week is almost over, lol. I'd feel it'd be best if I start work next Monday so I am like, chilling until then.

Oh and as 50/50 chance on whether or not I get a job, my mom told me that the change is going to take full effect this upcoming January and while we're still not sure if it's going to affect me as well, this does give me a good enough time to work on the first part of productions for at least a good amount of episodes ahead of time! Sooo rejoice!! .....For now

But yes, I look forward on working on TMoS next week and will share progress in the server for the VAs (as well as some friend groups)

Petty thing to hope for, ik, but I hope that one of these days, someone that used to work for FXHome releases the source code for HitFilm on GitHub as a a bit of a "Fuck you" to Artlist. Sorta like how Project Dream get released on Internet Archive as a "fuck you" to Microsoft. c:

🌹💎The Rose City Gems💎🌹 This is the master thread for a passion project of mine, a goofy romantic phantom thief comic. Updates will be 2 pages as I make 'em, between Court of Roses & all my other work. Pages 0-3. Let's go. Will also be posted in tandem on ComicFury: rosecitygems.thecomicseries.com

Cover for The Rose City Gems. Eight different colored gems are gathered together, each with roses inside of them. Above them are white silhouettes of Willow chasing Swee T.

A wide shot of a lavish estate exterior, at night. Another shot of a long hallway, quiet and undisturbed, lit up by moonlight from huge bay windows, with a landing at the end, showing a pink gem sitting on a pedestal. Finally, there’s a closer shot of the gem, glimmering with sparkles and sitting sweetly on a dark pillow. At the distant end of the hall, a figure peeks out from behind the pillar, gun in hand.
Willow: (narration) This is it. He’s gonna be here tonight. He’s GOTTA be.

A full shot of Willow, leaned back against the wall and peeking behind the corner. He holds his gun, looking tense. He has accents of green on his design, in contrast to the black and white.
Willow: (narration) Tonight’s the night I catch that “phantom thief,” once and for all.
Card: Willow Atwood, Private Investigator
A detailed shot of the pink gem, showing the rose preserved inside of it.
Willow: (narration) He’s pulled off some pretty hefty heists… but this is next level. The Rose City Gems are damn-near priceless.
Willow glances to the side, the brim of his hat covering his eyes. On the wall beside him is an active panel with a red light: the security system.
Willow: (narration) If he gets his hands on even ONE of them… let alone ALL EIGHT…
An upshot of the pedestal, showing a hollow pillar leading to the skylight above. A shade of a person stands at the edge of the window, the full moon behind him.
Willow: (narration) …well. I don’t know WHAT will happen.
A gloved hand holds a tiny ball in his fingers.
Willow: (narration) I never know what to expect with this madman.

Willow startles at a small “tink tink!” noise. The small ball bounces into rest at the base of the pedestal, and with a tiny click, it releases a thin, vaporous gas. In a view over Willow’s shoulder, he’s sweating as the smoke reveals all the lasers surrounding the pedestal. But, while he’s distracted, the same gloved hand is hovering over the security panel with a small device.
Willow: (Shit shit shit shit shit)
The device attaches, and sparks fly from the panel with a KZZZZRT! This catches Willow’s attention again, while the hand swoops upwards out of sight. The lasers vanish instantly.
Willow: (SHIT!)
A pair of boots swings over Willow’s head, and the dramatic silhouette of the phantom thief leaps through the air with his grappling hook, and lands deftly in front of the pedestal.

I will say that atm, Olive Video Editor still has the higher advantage over Kdenlive when it comes to the distortion effect (Ripple Distortion, my beloved). But when it comes to the bounce effect, while it took me a bit to figure shit out, Kdenlive finally has the higher advantage.

I will say, the way I voiced one character is not *too* bad. Like, it's pretty passable! The other one sounds to similar due to the range, despite trying to sound different and I cannot seriously voice a tough guy to save my life, even with pitch changes, soooo, roman 50, man.
