the entire daydream & keuy event is absolutely mind-boggling to me its been aired out months ago so what made them think that working with keuy would be acceptable you would think that a brand new youtaite group with such high production value and effort would know better but I guess not

my portfolio playlist hit 20 vids :O even though not all of them are full-length solo works, it still feels pretty surreal to have done so much, no?

today I have decided that my greed knows no bounds... gym ac was non-existant, I'm too hot and I really want an overpriced cold drink from tim hortons

13:04 priv, honestly not bad considering I barely played last season, only 20sec short of my actual pb

all the jp/kr mv creators on my twitter feed are shilling this newly released set of ae plugins so damn hard its making me even more skeptical about potentially buying it as a mb looks alternative

I think I might actually hit my goal of 12 MV works this year (average of one per month)

I've been feeling really out of it when it comes to MV work for the past month or so, just vapidly moving from project to project, video to video ;-; I really need to take a step back, re-think what I'm doing, what my goals are and make a proper improvement plan

also you can bet your ass I'm not staying up late tonight to render the vid if I'm sleeping by the time art is finalized, I'm not rendering until I wake up at a reasonable time and if we can't render and upload before the already extended deadline then so be it idgaf

000

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

like idc anymore, working with placeholders and not having somewhat complete art has killed a lot of my motivation this time around, this mv will be as simple as it gets

100

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

behold my usual rant of projects where art is not done and deadlines are approaching within 24 HOURS I'm not even talking about the final render, its line art. there's 3 people after you in the visual pipeline who's depending on YOUR SCHEDULE that all of a sudden HAS TO CRUNCH

100

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

finished an mv that took so much out of me I feel so mentally exhausted matching the fast pacing of a high energy song is so hard I wouldn't even call it fully polished but like I cannot bring myself to work on it anymore

that sucks to hear, sorry for your loss 🫂

comparing yourself in a negative light to a creative peer is a trap. you are lucky enough to exist at the same time as wonderfully artistic, talented people & the internet lets us connect with each other across oceans. we can all create & inspire despite this bitch of a world...

I think I won't be accepting any more anim collabs for the remainder of this year got such a big backlog of projects to work on, a handful of them that started so long ago but I'm finally getting art and are approaching deadlines

000

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

something something a monoid is a monad in the category of endofunctors

000

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

I stayed up late bingeing the insane ramblings of a deranged category theorist despite never taking a course on category theory sheafification of g on youtube would highly recommend if you have any background in upper undergrad-level math

100

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

I don't need the money, those doing comms do, so it should only be fair that solo MVs be done by them no? It'd feel like I'm stepping on people's toes if I offered to do solo MVs for free so the follow-up question is, do I open up comms? but I'm also worried about turning a hobby into a job...

020

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

I want to get some experience with doing MVs focused on one person, everything I've done so far has been choruses/collabs, a few trios, one duo problem is that I feel like solo mvs are better off done by people doing comms for money

120

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

how is the visual side of a project fully complete when audio only just finished timing I don't think I've ever finished a video before the mix even started lmfao

010

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

I didn't think I'd get this attached to a content creator but in hindsight a lot of my love for yugioh came from watching progression series over the pandemic, it really breaks my heart knowing he's no longer with us rest in peace cimo

020

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

I injured my finger pulley again ;-; this time was worse cause I felt pain running into my forearm as well and feels more severe than other times where I just overtrained my fingers forget climbing or hanging from a monkey bar, I can't even open my car door using that finger without pain D:

at what time is it considered acceptable to start day drinking? I'm dealing with such a fucking mess right now idgaf if its only 2pm I'm gonna start drinking

【Works】 I worked on the MV for izosaki and jugon's cover of gnarly. Here's some of the english typography I did. #girsuWORKS

121

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

realistically I'm the only one here setting expectations on myself, these are all collabs for fun, not some cb with scoring or comms for clients. But it still feels bad personally knowing that I could be doing things better

010

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

in my mind I was thinking that more projects = more practice = getting better at the cost of some pressure but I think with this round of MVs its started to swing into the territory of potentially being too much where I'll need to sacrifice quality in favor of time

110

girsu @girsu.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

I'm starting to feel the time crunch of many many project deadlines coming up soon ;-;
