If you operate under the assumption that companies operate purely out of fiduciary self interest and can accurately gauge effects of events that did not take place, yes, but they can't actually do that. Their sense of profit w/r/t LGBT people is driven largely by their sense of the zeitgeist.

It's chiefly worthwhile as a reflection of existing material conditions; a focus on it threatens to mistake an effect for its own cause. e.g. Does Budweiser abandon Dylan Mulvaney in 2016 pre-trump? Probably not imo.

I don't necessarily disagree with the underlying premise that Rainbow Capitalism is net-positive but it's a bit of a stretch to say that either of them don't involve other people's charity, particularly with how susceptible some corporations have been to anti-DEI activists.

I got my anti-fatigue mat so I can use my desk as a standing desk for longer periods now. Highly recommend one if you use a standing desk. Doesn't have to be fancy, amazon basics works.
