genuinely the only (possibly awful) marketing advice I can ever give when it comes to like... putting a creative work out there is to care. care about what you're making. people can tell when you don't, I think.

have you grinded any sprints? it's my favourite way to play tetris and gives you pretty instant feedback on your speed and finesse compared to longer modes.

as a testament to that first part looking at my backlog reminded me that I've also been meaning to play Pikmin so between that post and this one my backlog has grown also speaking of gamecube games I was gonna check out luigi's mansion at some point......

my backlog will forever grow faster than I can beat games, but it's cool to think that I started dark souls 2 in July and still feel like I'm working at it bit by bit, and above all else: enjoying it trying to make sure I do no more than 3 games at once though lol

it sounds so ridiculous to say, but I really have made gaming a more enjoyable hobby again by taking the pressure off. allowing myself to have a few games on the go at once, not worrying if I take a few days or even a few weeks break between sessions. good to be reminded that it's not a race.

don't let me sound too down on it either. I do think something changed from Morning Phase onward, but modern Beck has appeal and the guy clearly cares for his craft. and naturally take the opinion of a guy who's fav album is One Foot in the Grave with a grain of salt. clearly I have a bias...

new Beck album is pretty good. probably his best since modern guilt - very sea change vibes, great production. but it still serves as a solemn reminder that he will never do it like he used to...
