Waiting for Mr A to ask if I have any suitcase space.

18 000 steps so far today. Canals, museums, China Town lunch and Mr A slipped into Uniqlo one last time. Out later but for now a rest and regroup.

Morning. Ive said no more shopping today and yes there was a sad face. A day of culture and exploration is needed. Mr A no doubt will still buy a few things on the way back later. Have a good day everyone.

Morning from Manchester. Wide awake far too early. It is lighter here in the mornings and city life brings its own background symphony. Mr A will be shopping today with the lad whilst I try out a few coffees venues. Have a good day everyone.

A sunny and warm Manchester today. Mr A has explore a few shops already. Hotel room as before, very high ceilings, so we feel as though we are The Borrowers.

Sitting here waiting for the gate number and Mr A says -my foot feels wet. He takes off a much loved Camper shoe and finds a crack across the sole. Add new shoes to his shopping list. 🙈

I’ve been sending my lad a shopping list of things I want when I visit next week. Mainly stores we dont have here or some items that are so much cheaper over there. He has ordered the lot to collect on Weds. 😂. No going around the shops for me unlike Mr A who loves it, I really dont.

Heavy rain all night. The new gutters were tested and Mr A did a good job. Now on an orange warning but it is due to clear soon.

For the first time in 6 days I am wearing ‘normal’ clothes, have tidied myself up a bit and in celebration I’m giving the new Wallabies an outing.

Task is finished. We have struck the scaffolding. It is stowed in the trailer ready for us to return it in the morning. Both all in, showered and in pjs. Need to think about food 🙈

No gym today as we are moving the scaffold towers to the back of the house today followed by fascia and gutter removal. That will be more than enough phys.

October is shaping up to be a bit busy. Im usually not a very sociable person. I need to write down dates/names. Plus a house guest later in the month.

It is 19 deg outside but wall to wall grey low cloud and mizzle. I went out to Bantry and poached in my raincoat as I walked around. Yuk! Either warm and clear or cool and grey please.

Back in early 2024 I emailed Teachers Pensions about my frozen pension pot. I have just received an acknowledgement of the email and a one line apology. Can they assist me to claim this prnsion? Absolutely poor service. I subsequently claimed this pension last month.
