Kiyoomi tilts his glass again, nothing in the glass but melting ice.

“What was that?” Atsumu asks.

Not surprising that Kiyoomi doesn’t drink beer, he’s probably been tasting shochu with his parents since he first hit his teens.

“Why, do you want to buy me one?” Kiyoomi wonders, eyes narrowing.

Atsumu has already fumbled this twice, been rejected so soundly no other man would willingly put himself out there again. But Atsumu has nothing to lose at this point. Third time’s a charm, and all that. Isn’t that what they say?

“Yeah, I do.”

Kiyoomi glances away, just briefly, drawing his bottom lip into his mouth, digging his teeth into the flesh. It goes pale before flushing a beautiful, enticing pink. Atsumu absolutely can not look away. Not that he wants to.

“Okay,” Kiyoomi says eventually, sighing long and slow. He sets the glass down and raises a single, elegant finger. “One drink.”

Third time’s a charm after all.

Shoyo’s long stopped being frightened of Kageyama on the whole, but he is scared of misstepping here, of fundamentally breaking their relationship while its still fragile and new.

Kageyama blinks down at him, taking a deep, shuddering breath. He shakes off Shoyo’s hand on his arm and Shoyo doesn’t fight it just stands there, dread growing into bafflement as Kageyama reaches out to tug down the zipper of Shoyo’s hoodie. Kageyama’s dour expression cracks a little as he pushes the jacket off Shoyo’s shoulders, when he just lets it fall away to the ground with a soft flump with no argument.

Shoyo only had MSBY Opposite Hitter in his social media bios for approximately five weeks before he was dragged into a conference call with Kuroo and Kenma in an attempt to craft a statement that did not apologise so much as acknowledge he should be more careful about what he posts online as a public figure.

Now he logs into the Omi-san helped him set up before he tells Tsukishima to drink bleach in retaliation for posting the absolute worst screenshots of Shoyo every time he plays a match. Shoyo doesn’t actually mind the screenshots all that much, not when it means Tsukki is telling on himself by revealing that he watches each and every match.

“You guys are feral,” he says—not complaining, it feels like.

“Shut it,” Kageyama grumbles.

“Ushi even noticed how long you’d been,” Hoshiumi says and Kageyama sighs, pressing against the small of Shoyo’s back to get him to move out of the bathroom. Thankfully no one else is here, no strangers to witness the two of them leaving a single occupancy bathroom at the same time.

Hoshiumi reaches up to clap Kageyama on the shoulder.

“Don’t worry, I managed to convince him that all the travel gave Hinata the shits,” Hoshiumi teases.

“Wow,” Shoyo says flatly. Kageyama snorts, the traitor. “Did he not think it was weird Kageyama would come into the bathroom with me if that were true?”

“Weirdly not,” Hoshiumi muses. “Now outta the way, I need to piss.”

“We’re implementing a new rule in the Citadel,” Noctis says firmly, before Ignis is even fully in the room. Calmly as ever, Ignis waits unblinking for Noctis to carry on his tirade.

“Everyone,” Noctis says, carefully sounding out each syllable. “Has to keep all their clothes on, all the time. No exceptions.”

Ignis frowns and after a moment turns to Gladio. “What did you do to upset him?”

“Nah, he pissed in his own cereal with this one,” Gladio mumbles.

“You shut up,” Noctis snaps, pointing at him.

“He’s got his undies in a twist because—”

Noctis launches himself at Gladio but with an embarrassing lack of effort he’s tossed back onto the training mats. Noctis doesn’t bother getting up, just gazes up at the too ornate ceiling awaiting his own demise.

“He got caught staring at Nyx again,” Gladio explains.

Ignis sighs. Noctis imagines him pushing his glasses up his nose.
