All I want to say about the Ocarina of Time remake is that it's wasted on the Switch 2. The aliasing artifacts on the small details are a really unfortunate side effect of trying to make something look great on the equivalent of a 2019-era desktop GPU. Other than that, very excited.

10 years ago today my dad told my sister and I that we're nothing to him, straight to our faces. I firmly believe that it was the most freeing moment in my life, and allowed me to let go of decades of feeling like his distance was somehow my fault. Materially made my life and mental health better.

If you play this and enjoy it, you owe it to yourself to play the full series of Alan Wake also. I can't stress enough how special what Remedy has made is. The first two Alan Wake games are mechanically rough as fuck, but the *story* makes them worth every second, and Alan Wake 2 is a masterpiece.

This got more real today. We were sure he was dead, but they couldn't find a corpse. They found and identified the body like an hour ago. I still feel more or less the same as I did yesterday, but like... It's not imaginary anymore. He's really gone, and that's just something I get to live with.

Preface: Not looking for sympathy, just thinking out loud. A family member I haven't seen in a few years, but cared about, died suddenly yesterday. Weird to think about him just being gone. And not really being sad, because his death was a direct result of something he loved at his favorite place.

Rolled credits on a clearly comedic ending on Mortal Shell 2 just now, and it bugged out in a hilarious way *twice* in the process of doing so. The better one was that a song that's supposed to play loaded at least twice, offset by a half second, and permanently played until I exited the game.

I've only recently acknowledged the possibility that I have ADHD. And have refused to get a diagnosis, because I'm genuinely afraid that getting treated for it would change how I function in a way that would make me less effective and less comfortable with who I am after years of adaptation.
