I REALLY hope the “new feature” has something to do with maps or weapons. It would be cool to be able to switch specials/subs or do away with the rotation system and add a map selection system like in overwatch. Let’s see how well this ages😅

There is so so SO much I want to say, have wanted to say, and will want to say concerning this situation. It goes against every fiber of my being to hold my tongue further, but it is not my battleground. One thing I will say: with the information we currently have, I stand by Gem and his innocence.

I would highly encourage ALL people in the Splatoon Community to read this. If you have ever Supported Gem / Squid School in the past and heard about the serious allegations put against him. I personally believe he is innocent and I think its such a shame that this escalated this far.

I don’t have much to say other than stuff like this needs to stop. No one deserves this. We need to come together as a community and realize why we’re all here. People like Gem are a great example of making an impact and fighting for the community

As much as I love splatoon, this is so lame😭 No hate to the players but I’m sick of seeing sblast bucket pen Hoping for a patch that shakes things up and isn’t “buff aerospray’s paint by 1%”

something i think we don't recognize enough is how genuinely difficult splatoon is like. it is the fastest paced shooter game out there, with the most unique movement mechanics, and you've either got MOTION CONTROLS or sticks without aim assist

“Sometimes no movement can be the best movement”

000

Gillies @gillies229.bsky.social · 22/09/2025

Something that isn’t emphasized enough is what “playing fast” means. I think people mistake it as holding forward and going as fast as you can, but that just leads to constant death. “Playing fast” means seeing opportunities as soon as they come and acting efficiently (as least deaths as possible)

Something I’ve learned is playing TOO much is definitely a thing. While trying to get top 10, I’ve noticed a winning and healthy mindset is key…otherwise you’ll spiral into a frustrated autopilot that makes you play so much worse Remember to take breaks and give yourself a breather!

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PAINBRUSHES IN X BATTLE

000

Gillies @gillies229.bsky.social · 18/09/2025

The more I play carbon, the more I realize the potential of other abilities such as swim speed and especially haunt. While ninja squid helps its ability to be seen, other abilities really utilize its capabilities of taking off angles quickly and either grabbing or playing off attention.
