Mummy theme Last 4 with the Boris Karloff original and "The Magic Mummy" cartoon short a year later. Also the epic 1926 take on "Faust" with a better Mephisto than Marvel, and a gory Feudal Japan OVA "Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma". #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky 📽️🍿

Monday Last 4 as I fit more Horror in for Halloween. Boris Karloff's star making role, an underrated vampire film from The Batman, the king that is Evil Dead II, & the best classic monster franchise that isn't from Universal; Darkstalkers. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky 📽️🍿

Solid Halloween Last 4. An under-appreciated younger Peter Lorre classic, Phantom, Faust, Dorian Gray and Paul Williams in one rock opera film, the beginnings of Universal Monsters and Dracula-Mania, and the uncut Evil Dead #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky 📽️🍿

Tuesday Last Four as I try to get more Spooky films in for Halloween Season, with Maltese Falcon in before it left HBO. A silent dark Lon Chaney film, Ghost in the Invisible Bikini's a live-action cartoon, and Kuroneko is fantastic. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky 📽️🍿

A Sunday night Last Four. Finally saw The Big Lebowski, an unexpectedly goofy sequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and some spooky delights, including Rev. Harry Powell being one of cinema's top villains of all time, and a Boris Karloff find. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky 📽️🍿

Started off with a pulp CBM in remembrance of Tim Curry, but ended up enjoying more 1980's Japanese women lead films: a Pink Film based on a classic sex gag manga, a live-action video game promo romp, and a fairy-elf wrestler manga tie-in. #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #letterboxd #filmsky 📽️🍿

Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? Aside from the hype all year, 2001 was not a memorable movie year for me. Without Fellowship, it probably would have been "Cowboy Bebop the Movie" as my choice.
