My 2nd and 3rd graders all gravitate toward the same popular series. I created this bulletin board of other series we have in the library that might interest those grade levels. The students visit the board when they need a new book to see what new series they could try.

This novel-in-verse really resonated with my middle school self. The spiral perms, jeans rolled up tight at the ankle, jelly shoes and hoop earrings & the deep desire to fit in with the “cool kids” all ring true. Middle grade readers will enjoy Cayenne’s story. @jessicavitalis.bsky.social
