Big tech is subtly changing the language of their applications to tap into different mental models. I am no longer searching my emails, but I am "asking Gmail" to help me find something. As if it can respond, as if I am having a conversation with it. I am not, I am searching my emails.

Is it me, or is the quality of software going down? In the past few months I have started to notice that software that use to work, is now having issues. No major issues, but small hiccups that make it really annoying to work with. e.g. notifications that reappear, read to unread, stuff like that.

At one of my clients, I was asked to give an overview what made a DDD initiative successful and what made it fail. For me, that was a challenging question. To start with: there isn’t a straightforward answer like “if you do all of this, you will succeed” or “avoid these things, and you won’t fail.”
