Triple negative breast cancer survivor: I'm Gen-X. Not the least bit surprised that my mother (a breast cancer survivor herself) never reached out to give messages of support. It was my "friend family" who sustained me. And that, right there, is evocative of every Gen Xer's life. Find the friends.

What bugs me about the current dialogue regarding Virginia Guiffre is how so many voices are parroting the whole suicide thing. She said, many, many, many times, that she was NOT suicidal. I feel in my gut that we are wildly understating what she made plain before her death. I call bullshit.

My husband and I are the same. We adopt from local animal shelters and breed rescues. We don't know how to do life without a dog. Our favorite breeds and mixes are GSDs and Malinois. They are often the ones that get returned, but we have them figured out. 😂 They come home with us and they thrive.

I so understand this. Hugs to you. I lost my GSD boy in March of last year and then our girl, a GSD/Malinois mix, in March of this year. I haven't known how to do life without a dog since I was 7. The house was too quiet, too clean, too empty. We adopted our new girl, Mochi, a GSD, on March 18th. 🥰
