This is my late grandfather, Fred. He served in WWII in the Battle of the Bulge amid artillery fire that shattered the forest, the lives of fellow soldiers, and his left leg. He healed and went back to the front. He would come back to HAUNT me if I sat any of this play out. I will NOT. Thanks, Papa.

My beloved grandfather served in WWII. He suffered a broken leg that healed slightly shorter than the other. Today, I learned how: he was hit by artillery fire while fighting in Ardennes Forest in the Battle of the Bulge.🥺I'm kinda glad he can't see what's become of the nation he fought to defend.
