God damn this incision is so fucking itchy it's driving me insane I believe this is a good thing

Superb Owl 🦉 @gibbs.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

My doctor told me in her own words that I had the most textbook case of appendicitis she's ever seen It would stand to reason I would also experience all the textbook complications as well 😂

Feeling surprisingly fine this morning. Just taking it easy and moving around a little bit based on the notes from the hospital The timeline looked kinda like this

**18:00 (wednesday)** start of noticing the pain, thought I was hungy had some chili
**02:00** wake up to drive my Mom to the airport and got breakfast at the 24hr IHOP because I still thought I was hungry
**06:00** pain is getting worse now more focused in the lower right abdomen, take morning off work
**12:00** pain is even worse to the point I can't lay down anymore, decide its time to call my doctor and get appt
**14:00** doctor diagnoses me with classic appendicitis symptoms, refers me to ER for CT scan
**14:30 - 16:50** various tests and being shuffled out of and back into the ER waiting room
**~16:50** get the CT scan
**17:12** get put into an ER room finally
**12:12 - 18:00** chats with various nurses who aren't really allowed to tell me what it is, but I can surmise from the context clues my doctor was correct
**18:00** chat with the surgeon and explanation of my appendix being big mad
**~19:15** heading to OR
**~22:00** I wake back up in recovery
**~22:15** up and back in my clothes
**~22:20** my dad picks me up and takes me back home for the night

The best part of being an artist is that you can just draw whatever dumb idea comes to your head at 1am

A scene parodying the Neon Genesis Evangelion scene of Asuka and her Eva unit getting pierced by the spear of longinus. In this scene, Linguini and Remy from Pixar's Ratatouille take the place of the EVA unit and Asuka respectively. Linguinis eye is pierced by a fork version of the spear and Remy is depicted in an inset where he is grabbing his eye and screaming like the anime. There are anime subtitles at the bottom that say "AHHHHHHHHH!"

I love that Formula 1 saw that they had to deal with all the negative baggage the old Drag Reduction System had, and therefore had to choose a new name for the new system which is even more of a drag reduction system than the old one and the best they could come up with was "Straight Mode"

I've seen everyone sharing that US Dialect Quiz so I decided to make my own, much crappier, CANADIAN DIALECT QUIZ to guess where in Canada you're from

A flow chart I have created with multiple questions and the answers determine where you're from.

Question 1 is do you call it a hydro bill (which then branches down to ON, QC, BC, MB) or an electric bill (which then branches down to SK, AB, NS, NB, PEI, NL)

Question 2 is do you call it a cabin (BC, MB, AB, SK) cottage (ON and atlantic) camp (northern Ontario) chalet (QC) or bungalow (Cape Breton)

To delineate BC from MB: do you call it dinner or supper

To delineate southern Ontario rural or big city: have you heard of a stag & doe

To delineate SK from AB: do you call a hoodie a bunnyhug

And finally to delineate NL from the other atlantic provinces: whaddayat? (Correct answer: dis is it b'y)
