I saw a vtuber with arms that were too short. I wanted to say something, but they were already venting about criticism of their vtuber model...

Chopped samples tend to sound different to something you'd write yourself. I've been learning chopped parts on guitar as a way to learn different ways of playing, plus it sounds cool.

I think it's has great potential for non-interactive visual media, but as someone who also has interest in video game development, sticking to the engine makes the skills very transferable.

That makes sense. You ever considered using Unreal?

Is your main motivation for switching saving on render time?

That feel when your struggling with a chord progression, then you finally play the one that sounds right after trying out a bunch of variations.

Nice! I just recently discovered BandMaid as they recently got a PRS Signature guitar, and I'm a bit of a PRS fan boy so I always check out their new gear.

I kinda dig these older style cars.

What was your solution? I was using a plugin called Voxengo Recorder.

My pinky fingernail broke so I decided to cut the rest of my nails and see what finger picking like that is...and I hate it. I much prefer the brighter sound of nails. I wonder if it's worth getting fake nails...

Maybe it's a clever ad for hiring programmers.

I hate how adulting seems to get more and more in the way of working on music. I just want to lock myself up and be selfish...but I have responsibilities...

It's interesting how much more engagement this post has here vs twitter.

Reminder that social media isn't reality and you shouldn't let it shape your perception of the world.

I'm pretty sure bluesky normalized the audio. I swear it isn't this loud in person.

GhostXb @ghostxb.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

This is a nice twist on words that are otherwise considered gloomy.

It takes less data then video, I don't see why not. Image if you could create Playlist in Bluesky. That'd be neat.

I got these remote outlet switches for my lamps. They work pretty good. The normal room lights cause screen glare so I prefer floor lamps.

Younger me would have been drooling over this set up, ironically I'm not nearly as prolific as I used to be.

Just weirdos on the internet with no shame.

Is this like a vtuber convention?

Bruh I love Gorillaz. I don't see them in my feed enough.

Jazz has actually been one of my main focuses this year, though I've been focusing on jazz chords and progressions. I haven't really tackled soloing yet. I have a jazz standards book I've been putting off. Maybe I'll get into it soon.

I made music and played on keyboard for years before I finally picked up guitar, so for me, I find I can write more interesting things on guitar as I tend to think a little differently compared to on the keys. That said, keyboard has the advantage of basically being a harmonic playground.

What do fellow guitarists like to learn and practice? I don't have the patience to learn songs aside from bits from songs I like. I prefer to learn things applicable to song writing like theory, interesting chords and progressions, chord substitutions, etc.

I haven't seen them. Should I avoid?

I got loneliness 😢 I don't really put much weight on these things though. I feel my inspiration comes from many things that may change from time to time.

The brass urinal business went under and they had to do something with all the inventory.

010

GhostXb @ghostxb.bsky.social · 03/11/2024

That's really annoying, sorry you had to go through that. I feel like the developers should also take some responsibility, hope it gets patched.

Got my PRS SE Hollowbody back from the guitar doctor. The magnetic pickups were really quiet for some reason. It's all good now. Decided to get some locking tuners for it. Installation was fairly easy. Fun fact, this guitar is referenced in art I commissioned from Dragonfoxgirl.
