You can tell how many people are not Chargers fans and don't know Chargers fans based on how many of them had the confidence to pick them to win Week 1 of their survivor league pools

Don't Stop Believin' is a good song but its place in pop culture feels kinda weird to me. The song largely works in a gestalt way, like the chorus is only in the final minute of the song and the whole thing is about buildup. Taking any snippet of the song by itself kinda doesn't work.

Thinking back to how the first time I met @criticalcyd.bsky.social in person I brought a North American copy of Sonic Colors to prove to him the correct spelling of the game's name only for him to literally reach into his bag right below him and pull out a European copy of Sonic Colours.

My one post about OoT2026 is it feels uncanny. It's in that awkward middle ground of remakes that are neither especially transformative nor especially faithful. Lighting in particular kinda sucks in a way that feels like mediocre UE, even if I dont think it's actually UE.

This is gonna sound like whatever the Bsky equivalent of subtweeting is, but it happens so often here I feel like saying something. Unless you have a specific point to make, a lot of bragging about having never done something comes off as self-righteous patting oneself on the back.

There does exist good and bad gatekeeping, and I find the difference is usually a certain degree of effort. People who don't even want to put effort into something that calls for at least some of it, but want to be a part of the thing anyway, those are the types who often should be kept out.

Low key I alsonfeel this way any time I hear Tame Impala's Dracula and think "how is a song this obnoxious made by the same guy who made songs like Elephants and New Person, Same Old Mistakes" lol

Did they ever find out which of those MFs came up with the idea of using chopsticks to eat rice Because they deserve a spot in the world trolling hall of fame, it is pure comedy that they tricked people for thousands of years into doing that

An aspect of covering indie games as a reviewer I really don't see get talked about is the kind of icky feeling that happens when you come across a game you did not like but could tell the developer was genuinely trying on. It's not fun being the one to drag that OpenCritic score down 5 points.

There is a lot I can criticize about Raphael Warnock but it is staggering how few people besides him in congress have straight up told RFK Jr to his face that he is a danger to the American people and should resign immediately if he cares about anyone.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

RFK Jr defends measles: "In 10 years, there have been 3 measles deaths in America. There are now about 1.2 million deaths every year from food-induced illness. The media and certain demagogic politicians are constantly trying to scare us about infectious disease."
