blender fbx import/export literally has an option that converts it into the universal system. i.e. there's a "dont fuck up my model" button that isnt enabled by default and most users wouldn't know what it does. what a weird program

i know i complain about blender rigging every so often but i just really dont get why they decided to go with their own bespoke system that doesnt integrate with the *universal system* literally every single other program uses and every engine expects. its just, such a weird choice

one thing blender consistently loves to do on export is add a second set of skin weights that are completely different weight values than the tailor-made one i dont know where it comes from, and it doesnt happen to every mesh in the rig, but all blender models that come through my door have it

U could do what I did and buy an upper-end point-and-shoot from a used camera shop, specifically look for cams with ccd sensors, ~2007 and earlier I've realized point-and-shoot cams only sucked cos most people didn't know how use em, if you know a lot about cameras Ur photos come out fantastic

i dont think my brain is suited for computer science like coders are, because the most adjacent thing i do to coding is unity engine work, and when i finally figure something out after hours of research and it turns out to be a really simple thing, i just feel hollow inside. no emotion. just empty
