I picked pears and got stung by a wasp. But now I have half a bushel of pears so I think I came out ahead.

After work I got a slurpee and the cherry foam looks like the writing on the One Ring. Turns out the elven lore was actually “..Seven Eleven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone…”

Tornado watch. The clouds are moving SO FAST. It’s a little obnoxious because I can literally see it pouring north of me but I have nothing so I will probably have to water the trees tonight. 🫠

Ahahah, I found a nirnroot! 😂
A green leafy Thistle against a brown bed of mulch . It’s funny because I based the nirnroot off of dandelions originally but in the years since I’ve come to realize how small thistles look much more like the final nirnroot!
Yes, I pulled it because thistles are technically invasive in Maryland. I will put out nice birdseed for the finches who are cursing my name for stealing their favorite food.

My Dracula Lily bloomed!! 🖤🌱 For anyone who hasn’t seen one, a Dracunculus vulgaris blooms for 1-2 days once every few years and smells like an 800 year old garbage can (but only for the first 6-8 hours after blooming!) My absolute favorite garden plant, despite its brief appearance :)

Eeeeeeh, my Light.Bio petunias are starting to glow a bit! I got the pink/white trial variety. I love them so much 🥰 Now I just have to keep them alive, which honestly is not one of my strongest skills.

I did reduce the contrast of the photo as iPhones tend to overexpose everything at night.

I saw these dog statues at an antique fair on Saturday and can’t stop laughing when thinking about them. I’m 90% sure this is what I look like in conversations when I think I’m keeping a straight face to not show any concern.

I was just going through some old papers and found an issue of the newsletter Questbusters. Please enjoy this little paragraph about the 1988 awards at GDC.

The text reads:

The IBM version of Pool of Radiance requires at least 384K, two disk drives or a hard drive. It supports 16-color Tandy, CGA and EGA graphics and is shipping in different packages for 3.5" and 5.25" disks.
